Why do male gamers always say that female gamers can't be as good as them? Or even, say that females can't play it at all? This isn't good. >:(

I totally disagree with those who say something like that! There are a lot of female gamers out there and i'm one of them. Basically, i'm the only eldest female in our family's branch because in our family, all the eldest are males. Given that reason, i've been exposed to the gaming world at a very young age. Also, because of it I seem to act like a guy rather than a girl and have an attitude of a male as well. My mom, aunt, and uncles would also tend to ask me if i'm a "Tom" (Tomboy/Lesbian)or not because of it- its not like I wanted to be like that! I just am! Give me a break people~!>.<

The very first male game i've played is Defense of the Ancients or widely known as "DOTA" for short and it continued with many more. Well, yeah. I did suck at DOTA at first and it seemed like my cousins were going to strangle me to death but I got the hang of it after a few weeks. Now, the latest game that is very close to DOTA in game play is League of Legends or "LoL".

Now, LoL is certainly a multiplayer online battle arena video game. It was developed through the inspiration of the world wide popular game Defense of Acients in which they use the map of Warcraft 3. Its developer and publisher is none other than Riot Games for Microsoft Windows. It was a closed beta game from April 10, 2009 to Ocober 22, 2009 but it was first introduced to the world on October 7, 2008- it really took them a year to finish!

Currently, LoL has released over a hundred and ten (110) champions. These champions differ in 5 types. These champion types are: 

1. Tanks - specialize in two main traits: Absorbing damage, and distracting enemies.Often, this distraction can come in the form of disabling or “crowd-controlling” (CC) enemy champions.
2. Supports -  focused on improving teammates. They can accomplish this feat through a variety of means: Replenishing mana or health, increasing movement or attack speed, shielding teammates from taking damage or getting CC’d, and more.
3. Mages - excel in dealing instant magic damage through various spells and also typically possess some minor CC effects of their own.
4. DPS - short for “Damage Per Second” are targeted at dealing extremely high, persistent physical damage to enemies. One common characteristic of a DPS champion is what’s called a “steroid” ability, which significantly multiplies a champion’s physical damage output. 
5. Junglers - embody some of the above traits, but are also adept at taking out neutral monsters with no outside help. Typically these champions have a way to heal themselves or deal extremely high damage very quickly.
   
   My favorite champions are mostly females- i'm not saying that male champions are weak but I am a girl aren't I?! :P

Hey people out there! My name is Samantha Rae Opial but you can call me "Sam or Sammy" for short. I'm currently an 8th Grader at West Visayas State University Integrated Laboratory School. This blog is for our journalism class. So i'm only going to tell you a few things you need to know about me. I live with my brothers at my Great Granny's house because our parents are working abroad wherein they left us in my Grandma's care since we were still in diapers. I specially won't tell you my address because you might secretly be a ninja and attack me while i'm sleeping! Well, everybody wants to be a ninja right! XD

I'm also an MMORPG player so just tell me if you are to and what game you're playing because I might actually be playing it as well because I've been playing loads of MMROPGs since I was young and I would leave some of them for a new game- don't have enoguh time to play them all at once. Now, I'm currently playing Dreamland Online by IGG. An here's a picture of my character there- i'm wearing a Christmas Set over my Captain Equipment (Lvl 50 equips.) and my lovely Wings! Its very hard to get the wings because its rare- very rare, and if you scale it with other online games equip its the most legendary equipment! Yey! Lucky me~ :3

Wait! I may also not seem like one but I'm certainly an anime lover! So, any anime lovers out there? Just say "Kyaa~". Mostly, I love animes that are a bit bloody- I don't know why but I just love it! Some of those bloody animes are Deadman Wonderland, Mirai Nikki and Elfen Lied. They're very bloody so I suggest you watch them in the morning and not at night! Or you'll end up like my brother who watched with me and then he wasn't able to sleep the whole night. :P
